Our scope of work on this project included us demolishing the existing ticket office and booking hall to make way for a new fresh, open-plan and modern space. The booking hall increased in size by utilising unused space within the ticket office.
A new slab was formed, new partition walls, ceramic floor tiling, new LED lighting were all installed. A brand-new ticket office operating window, drinking fountain, charging station and accessible toilet we also installed as part of the project. We also installed a new ticket desk, kitchenette, break-out area and new WC.
A full M&E spec, lighting, power, ventilation, plumbing, drainage, new vinyl and carpet tiled flooring were also included in the scope of works.
This was a challenging site in a live Rail environment completed in a tight timescale to ensure that the ticket office facilities could be opened up at the earliest opportunity. All works had to be carefully planned and executed alongside the station’s staff to ensure there was no disruption to the station or its passengers.
