TMT have brought to life a 14,000 sqft CAT B innovation space, in Stockport town centre, for the end user Oxford Innovations.

We were appointed by CBRE on behalf of Stockport Council for this project. This scheme involved converting two vacant retail units into a coworking space, complete with small, rentable office units perfect for small businesses and entrepreneurs. The ground floor entrance space also accommodates four secure cycle spaces along with storage/drying room accommodation for cyclists.
This BREEAM 'Very Good' project is a key part of the larger revitalisation of Stockport’s Merseyway area, with funding from the European Union. As a Stockport based business it’s an amazing opportunity to be involved with a project of this nature to improve the town centre.
Due to the complex access to the site within a pedestrianised zone and working within a live retail environment we worked out of hours to deliver this project on time for our client, despite a 4-week delay at the very beginning.
Additionally, as part of our appointment on the scheme we committed to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). We partnered with Stockport College, offering construction course students valuable on-site experiences and guidance from our site and health & safety teams.
